About Us
Frisco is a city rich with heritage and pride. The downtown area of Frisco is one that is in the process of building itself up to be a real destination spot in the midst of the newly built areas of the city.
Historic Downtown Frisco is located along Main Street between the old train tracks and roughly North County Road; though the downtown area and our merchants association go from the North Dallas Tollway to Preston. The New Downtown part of Frisco is home to new buildings that are made to look old. It has shopping a number of restaurants for you pick from.
The area has buildings that date back to 1869 (T.J. Campbell House--today Randy's Steakhouse) though today we try to blend the past with the future by holding on to our historic past while modernizing the buildings and the modern buildings in our new Frisco Square portion. The downtown area is attempting to rejuvenate itself and put a new face on one of the oldest parts of the city. The newer parts of downtown include Frisco Square, where the new city hall is located, and Pizza Hut Park home of FC Dallas .
In the attempt to rebrand the downtown area, the community is preparing for a new marketing scheme and a new plan for the beautification and preservation of the historic downtown. Downtown Frisco is following suit with the rest of the city in promoting the Frisco Red as its signature and unifying aspect to unite the old with the new. Historic downtown is also attempting to differentiate itself by having one of a kind specialty shops for unique shopping and bistro eating in the old downtown area.
