Our Marketing Committee works on and plans events for historic downtown as well as puts together new and innovative ways to advertise the area. The committee was created by a few members getting together and deciding that it was in the best interest for the merchants to form a marketing committee so the area would be competitive against the larger and more well known areas of Frisco.
The marketing committee is creating a new event to be every other Friday night starting July 17th. The event is called Friday Night Lights and the idea is for the stores on historic Main Street will be adorned with white light illuminating the area. Wine and other alcoholic beverages will be offered in stores, but is not allowed onto the streets sue to a city ordinance, but people are welcome to walk around and just take in the atmosphere or even just people watch. The event is planned to start at 5 PM and end at 8 PM on the assigned dates.
